Director of Grant Funded Programs: St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children

The Director of Grant Funded Programs provides management, leadership and administrative oversight of a complex grant funded component of a larger clinical program serving HIV positive patients within the Dorothy Mann Center for Pediatric and Adolescent HIV (Section of Immunology) at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. Included in this is supervision of staff, grants management including preparation of proposals, shepherding of proposals through the Drexel system, report writing required by funder or sponsor, monitoring of Continuous Quality Improvements (CQI), and day to day governance of ALL grant funded programs (i.e. Ryan White Part A, B, D and CDC Expanded Healthcare Testing, etc.). This position reports directly to the Section Chief/Director of the Dorothy Mann Center and is full time with 40 working hours per week.

Qualifications

1. Master’s Degree in Public Health, Social Work or related field is required.
2. Minimum 3 – 5 years relevant work experience, including, but not limited to grant writing, program development, implementation, evaluation and staff supervision.
3. Experience at a non-profit or academic research institution, with Ryan White EMA funding streams, knowledge of evidenced based interventions in HIV/AIDS, and work with local and state health departments is highly desirable.
4. Requires in depth knowledge of HIV related projects in clinical care, HIV prevention, and community outreach.
5. Must comprehend federal, state and local grant submissions processes; familiarity with generally accepted grants management principles is essential.
6. Experience creating and managing budgets is a plus.
7. Highly skilled/proficient in MS Office Applications (i.e. excel, word, access and power point).
8. Familiarity with database management platforms such as CAREWare and the ability to create reports for the purpose of managing and monitoring HIV clinical and supportive care services.
9. Experience with Healthcare Information Systems such as NextGen & AllScripts is desirable.
10. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, process significant amounts of information and proactively prioritize work to meet deadlines are required.
11. Able to react to change productively and at times work under pressure.
12. Must be professional and possess the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
13. Able to work with diverse populations (clients and staff); sensitive to cultural, economic, gender, and sexual orientation differences.
14. Ability to work as a member of a large, complex and multidisciplinary support team.

Behavioral Specialist: Allegheny Children’s Initiative

Allegheny Children’s Initiative provides home and community based mental health services to children, their families and adults.

The Behavioral Supports Department is a newly established service line supporting adults with either an intellectual disability diagnosis or who have autism. The primary goal is to support these individuals with behaviors in their natural living environment such as their home, day program or work site. Services will be provided in Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, and Washington counties.

The Behavioral Specialist will be responsible for the overall development and implementation of the person supported behavioral plan, in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulations. Provide supports and interventions which focus on positive behavioral strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related human service field
License preferred (LSW, LCSW, LBS, LPC, Psychologist)
Two years’ experience supporting people with developmental disabilities
Two years’ experience in the mental health field
Excellent communication and computer skills
Valid driver’s license
Use of personal vehicle required
Act 33 / 34 and FBI Clearances required

Duties include group and individual sessions, with services provided roughly 70% (or more) on-site and 30% (or less) off-site. Hours are daytime M – F, with no weekends or on-call duties. Advanced Clinical Social Work Fellowship: Yale Child Study Center

The Yale Child Study Center offers a one-year full-time Advanced Clinical Social Work Fellowship from July 1st through June 30th of each year. The goal of the training program is to build the capacity and skill set of Clinical Social Workers to maintain the intellectual curiosity, the concern for clients, and the attention to detail necessary to provide excellent clinical interventions with children, youth, and families and become leaders in the field of Clinical Social Work.

Social Work Fellows will participate in both multi-disciplinary and discipline specific training, which will include didactics, intensive supervision, and direct practice. Direct practice will occur in either the York Street Family Clinic, Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic for Children, or the Intensive Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Services In-Home Program. Fellows are provided a stipend of $28,800 and free comprehensive health care through the Yale Health Plan.

Eligible applicants must have satisfactorily completed accredited Master’s level training in Social Work by the start of the training year (July 1st) for which applying.
