Valley Youth House is hiring a full-time Clinical Counselor/Experiential Coordinator for Project SILK Lehigh Valley, an empowerment program for LGBTQIA youth.

Job description

The Clinical Counselor/Experiential Coordinator is responsible for providing clinical counseling, mental health counseling, coordinating and facilitating experiential activities for LGBTQIA youth between the ages of 14 and 21. Project SILK is a social and recreational service with the goal of supporting young men and transgender women of color and their allies with access to HIV testing and services as well as positive recreational and community activities.

Qualifications

  • Maturity and ability to adapt to the philosophy of the Independent Living Program and the Project SILK program
  • Sound judgment and knowledge of adolescent and LGBTQIA youth
  • Master’s degree in a human service field
  • Ability to work collaboratively across agencies and within the team

Compensation

  • $19.50 – $20 per hour

Family Resource Specialist: JusticeWorks YouthCare

JusticeWorks YouthCare is hiring part-time Family Resource Specialists to work in Chester and Lancaster counties. Some openings are for bilingual Family Resource Specialists.

Position summary

Maintain a caseload of referrals from our contracting agencies to provide services to clients related to safety and objectives in accordance with referral information, assessments and ongoing needs. Position requires non-traditional business hours (nights,
weekends and some holidays).

Requirements

  • Engage families in service and treatment planning
  • Assess family and client needs
  • Plan appropriate interventions
  • Implement interventions using evidence based and best practice approaches
  • Enter and maintain all aspects of client information in database system
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of service provision
  • Follow up as needed to determine appropriate courses of action
  • Expected to meet with designated clients for the prescribed number of hours/ days/contacts per week

Qualifications

  • Master’s or bachelor’s Degree in social work, criminal justice, psychology, or related field and at least of one year of direct care experience or supervised practice in lieu of the experience requirements
  • Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and access to a vehicle

Relational Skills Coaches: The Center for Supportive Relationships

The Center for Supportive Relationships is hiring part-time Relational Skills Coaches. This position is an opportunity to empower K-12 teachers to be the best teachers they can be by teaching them to strengthen their relationships with students, using an evidence-based coaching model.

Relational Skills Coaches provide real-time feedback to teachers during one-on-one coaching sessions that take place while they are teaching, in order to guide them toward more relationally skilled behaviors.

Most coaching will take place in Upper Darby, Pa. Pay ranges from $15-$25 per hour, depending on experience and training. Relational Skills Coaches will need to commit to a regular weekly schedule until mid-June 2017 (the remainder of the school year).

Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in a graduate program in psychology, school psychology, applied
    behavior analysis, or a related field
  • Strong working knowledge of reinforcement-based training
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Comfort with technology (Most coaching is done by sending text messages
    from a tablet to a smart watch that teachers are wearing; coaches use a cloud-based file system for sharing progress notes)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Total reliability and dependability
