Family Service of Chester County seeks a bilingual (Spanish-English) experienced social services professional to direct its Familias Unidas Program. This is a full time position with competitive salary and benefits.

Familias Unidas is a family-centered, evidence-based substance use and sexual risk behavior prevention intervention for Hispanic youth and their families focusing on improving family communication, parenting skills and understanding of risk factors.
The position requires at minimum a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) in Social Work or Psychology from an accredited school, and at least three years of direct service, supervisory, and administrative experience with increasing responsibility.

Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Coordinate planning and delivery of multi-parent groups, youth groups and family sessions.
  • Supervise the bachelor’s level program facilitators as well as the site coordinator and childcare workers.
  • Hire and train staff who will implement the program in both Spanish and English.
  • Coordinate sites where group sessions are held and ensure that staff is prepared and equipped for each group and family session.
  • Represent and market the program in the larger community through participation in interagency meetings which relate to the program’s mission and strategic goals and through development of relationships with community resources and stakeholders.
  • Recruit and interview potential participants.
  • Determine barriers to participation in and/or completion of program and develop plans to incentivize attendance and remove barriers to participation.
  • Ensure program fidelity through observational fidelity measures, clinical discussions, case reviews, and adherence ratings.
  • Implement outcome measurement procedures and develop reports for stakeholders. Develop program policies and procedures as needed. Develop annual program objectives. Assure program compliance with contractual responsibilities.
  • Participate in resource development, funding applications, strategic planning and program development.
  • Implement staff development through training, bi-weekly supervision, consultation and in-house seminars.
