Responsible for promotion, development, coordination, recruitment for pet therapy volunteers, and oversight of the Wellness Center Pet Therapy Program. This includes assessment of pet therapy needs across the University, development of recruitment strategies and retention initiatives, oversight of the day-to-day activities, maintenance of records, and scheduling, coordination, and supervision of pet therapy volunteers. Works to help fill gaps in the schedule unfilled by volunteers, especially in terms of staff and University needs. The pet therapy coordinator will develop new strategies and ongoing improvement processes to provide a robust, safe and therapeutic service to students across the University.
